We started December off with a busy weekend. First, we headed down to Olympia for Cousin Braden's 6th birthday party - at a Skate Rink! I think I spent half of my birthday parties as a kid at Skate King in Kent, so this brought me right back! And I don't think the skate rinks have changed a bit since we were there in the 80's. Happy Birthday Braden, I can't believe you are already 6 years old!

And yes, Mommy & Daddy strapped on the skates and did some laps. We had a race and Daddy creamed Mommy!
After the party we headed back up North for a dinner party with some of our friends: Di & Anthony, Jen & Theo & Vail and our gracious hosts Cara & Tim. The girls had a blast performing (seperately) for all of us. Dinner was FABULOUS, Cara: you can invite us to dinner any time! As you may know, Avery is a very picky eater, but she indulged in a couple morsels of cupcake.
The funniest part of the night, Cara showed us her "hooker heels" and my shoe-obsessed munchkin thought they were the greatest things ever! We couldn't get them off her!
