4 Year Shoot - Part 1

As part of our annual (sometimes semi-annual) tradition, we started Avery's official 4-year-old photoshoot.  Part 1 took place at Centennial Park by us.  Here are the ones we liked so far:
And of course Little Sis had to get in on the action too.  They were having so much fun playing Ring Around the Rosie.

Part 2 to come...

Preschool wind down at the Zoo!

As Pre-School is windng down for the year, we had a end of year field trip for all the kiddos at Woodland Park Zoo.  I got to skip a few hours of work and tag along with Avery, Daddy, Malin & Grandma.  We had fun seeing Avery with a few of her classmates and finding the specific animals Avery requested.
Avery and "the other Avery"
Avery and her teachers: Mrs. Sarah & Miss Amy
We got to see the Penguins (our favorites) getting fed.
And tracked down the elephants.

Avery turns 4!

I cannot believe my baby is 4 already.  She has turned into such a little girl.  She's helpful, thoughtful, caring, has a great imagination, loves her little sister (and loves to also torture her), is super detail-oriented (like her Mama), and is very girly.  She loves dressing up in her Princess dresses and starting dance parties at home.  She values the family and friends she has, telling those closest to her how much she loves them.  She loves playing school (thanks to pre-school this year) and we often catch her "teaching" her little sister: reading books, saying phrases Miss Amy tells the class, and putting Sister and dolls to nap.  She is still my little Stinker too, with a mighty attitude that she uses to get what she wants.  She still hates food, though we've added a few food items to her "ok" list.  She just finished up kickball and she did a great job, we were so proud of her!  She keeps us laughing with her crazy antics and funny things that come out of her mouth.

My little Avery Albertine is truly an original and I wouldn't change a thing about her.  Avery, we love you "more than all the stars in the skies."  You have rocked our world since entering it and I couldn't imagine 1 day without you.  I rush home from work every day to get the best hugs and "smooches" from you.  I hate letting my baby go, but I am so intrigued by the amazing little girl you are growing into.

Happy 4th Birthday Aves!

Avery started her birthday with a cupcake breakfast and got to open a few presents, including this Belle dress that she had been asking for.  My little Princess.  Nana took her out for lunch and for frozen yogurt.  (And she celebrated with her Pre-School class the day before with mini-cupcakes).
Avery's birthday party was a (Tinkerbell) Garden Fairy Tea Party.  The girls all dressed up in their fairy best and had a real tea party complete with fairy wings and wands.  It was pretty darn cute.

The girls each got to decorate a fairy wand.
Avery had a blas with all of her little buddies.

Say "tea party!"
Kaylee
Even Malin and her best buddy Maddie got in on the tea party action.
Avery got a new bike from Opie & Nanie!  (Which she helped pick out).  She was so excited, and let the other girls give it a whirl too.
I love this.  The fairies chasing after Avery.
Opie showing Avery how to ride her new bike.
Opening presents became quite chaotic with all the kids rushing to have Avery open their gift first.
Most of the fairies, minus a couple.
My little birthday girl with her Nanie.
And Grandma & Papa added a couple more princess dresses to her collection, including Frozen!

Happy birthday Love!
