Avery's Fan Club

Avery's already had many visitors... and more to come.

Avery's Here!

Avery Albertine Hunt, born May 8, 2010 at 12:56 pm after 30 hours of contractions and 4 hours of pushing. She weighs 7 lbs 2 oz, and is 19 inches long. She surprised her mommy and daddy and came 5 days early of her due date. We went to the hospital at 9AM on May 7th, and were sent home an hour later. Andy and I spent the day tracking contractions, made a stop at Starbucks just in time to make the surprise baby shower my co-workers had planned for me. We walked Bellevue Park and timed the contractions at 5 minutes apart. We walked the condo multiple times and finally decided to head back to the hospital once the contractions reached 3 minutes apart. I was 4 cm dialated... and the fun began.

We're so blessed to have Avery in our lives, we think she's perfect! Here's some of her pictures from her first 2 days of life in the hospital.

Waiting for Avery

It's May 1st, Andy and I are going to be parents this month! 12 days to go before her expected due date, but I'm hoping she gives us a wonderful Mother's Day gift and comes a little early. This momma is VERY ready to get this baby out and see her cute face. Our weekly check-up yesterday went well. Baby is healthy and by doc's estimates she now weighs about 6.75 lbs and if she comes on time should weigh about 7.5 lbs. (Phew, she's taking after her mommy and not her big daddy!)

We can't wait to meet you little Avery!

Baby Hunt Sonogram 5

I'm a little late on this one, but a couple weeks ago when we went into the doctor (2/26), the doctor measured my belly and it came out small, so he wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure everything was ok. Turns out she's only measuring about 5 days small (per the ultrasound) but my belly was smaller because she has wedged her head down into my pelvis, with her back on my left side and legs on the right - which is why I've been only feeling kicks on the right side. Since her head is so far wedged we didn't get any cute face shots, but here's what we did get:

She has some hair already, that's good news! Hmmm... wonder if it will be blonde...
Her heartbeat is still really strong, probably from all the aerobics she's been doing.
Here's her cute little hand.
And one more confirmation that she is indeed a girl.
