Avery Turns 3!

Our first baby is 3 years old already!  We spent a week preparing and a week celebrating. 

We got Avery a playhouse for her birthday.  After pulling out hundreds of pieces, I called Dad for backup.  Daddy and Opie spent 6 hours over the course of 3 days putting it together.  It was worth it, she LOVES it!

Saturday we had a Minnie Mouse themed party at our house.  It was a warm sunny day and we had a great turn out.  Thanks to everyone who came to help us celebrate Avery's birthday!

On Avery's official birthday on Wednesday, we took her to the park to play and to Cherry De Pon for an ice cream dinner.

And then last weekend Papa and Grandma hosted a 2nd birthday party for Avery at a Mariner's Suite!

Happy Birthday my sweet little Stinker!  I can't believe it has been 3 years since I pulled you out and laid eyes on my beautiful baby girl.  You have filled our lives with so much love, laughter, frustration, joy and unforgettable moments as your parents.  I love watching you grow into the amazing little girl you are.  You are truly an original and you never fail to keep amazing me.  Just don't grow up too fast baby girl.  Even though I love watching you grow, it breaks my heart to see you grow further and further away from being a baby.  I love you with all my heart!

3 Months Old

Our sweet, adorable Malin is 3 months old already!  Since Malin is most likely our last baby, Andy and I are trying to cherish every moment of it, and boy is it going fast!  It's crazy how quickly you forget your kids being little.  Thank God I take a ridiculous amount of pictures to remember all the adorable moments.

In the last month, Malin has become the sweetest, smiley little girl.  She sleeps well through the night (still in the bassinet next to Mommy) and wakes up, greeting us witht he biggest smiles.  Daddy now gets the best smiles.  We've even been able to get her to laugh, it's the cutest thing.  Opie so far has the best laugh record.  Malin is also a little talker.  She's been cooing to us, sometimes in lengthy conversations if we coo back.  She even forms her mouth in different ways to get different sounds out.  It's adorable!  Of course every time we get the video camera out she gets stage fright and quiets down.

Malin has found her hands and thinks they are the most delicious things ever.  She's not a fan of the binkie (just like big sis) and can't hold onto Sophie long enough, so we often hear loud sucking noises coming from her direction, with 1-4 fingers in her mouth.  She is quite fond her of thumb - we think she got that from Grandma who was also a thumb sucker.  (Living up to her middle name!)

Big sister Avery loves to give Malin kisses and hugs, followed by "Love you sooo much!" and Malin is a really good sport tollerating sis in her face all the time.  Malin's even been practicing her moves in Avery's favorite game: TACKLE!, sitting on big sis.  I have great hopes that these 2 girls will be good friends.

We are so proud of this sweet baby girl and just can't get enough of her.

Best Friend fun in San Diego!

Last week Malin and I boarded the plane and went down to San Diego for a few days to see the Klissers!  (Leaving a fresh out of surgery Daddy and sister Avery in the care of Grandparents) :( Malin was a perfect angel both ways, people even commented what a good baby she was.  This is an easy age to travel with.  We had a very relaxing few days in the sun, walking by the beach, lunching, and playing with babies.  We miss you KK, I wish we could hang out with you more.

KK has been in San Diego for 7 long years - this was my 6th annual trip to see her.  (Missed the year Avery was born).  If we can't get her back home, I still get to play in the SD sun once a year.

Easter 2013



Easter weekend started off at the Snoqualmie Easter Egg Hunt Saturday morning complete with an Eater Bunny sighting amd visit with buddy Sienna.  (Avery wouldn't get within 10 feet of the bunny this year).

 And then back home to celebrate Oma's 86th birthday.

Then Easter Sunday we headed down to Olympa for church and brunch with the Hunt/Ruhl/Groth clan, complete with an egg hunt.

2 Months Old!

Our sweet little Malin was 2 months old on March 25th.  Her 2 month stats: breaking into size 1 diapers, weighed in at a whopping 10lbs 1 oz, almost 22" long.  She's getting into a better sleep habit at night.  She loves her big sister Avery and thinks she's pretty funny.  She has started really looking at us and gives us the sweetest gummy smiles.  We can't get enough cuddles out of this little cutie.  She's now a little over half way through her 6 week harness treatment for her hips, and though we hate it, she is unphased by it.  Here are some pictures from her 2 month photoshoot:

In Avery news, she had her first modeling gig at Zulily.  She was very shy at first (don't know where this shy thing came from suddenly), but after we bribed her with ice cream she worked her inner diva and brought out her model pose.  She did great!  On the right is her picture that made the website.  Way to go Avery!



 My babies are growing way too fast.  Avery is already starting to look like a teenager. :(
